Troy and Brad Pitt

A lot of stories come to mind when one hears the word "epic." The story of Troy from Homer's Illiad was made into a movie starring Brad Pitt. And then I started to wonder. Hollywood has this trend of making historical movies into historical and dramatic movies. They add flavor and an A-lister to get the audience interested, but in my opinion that only took away from what is really important. I did some research on the true story of the Trojan War. There is no information on Achilles having a lover during the invasion. When Paris is helping the citizens of Troy escape, he hands Priam's sword to a young man named Aeneas. However, Aeneas was the second greatest warrior the Trojans fielded during the war according to 'The Iliad'. I also found the addition of characters not known in Greek history for example Boagrius, which was in fact a river. Next, I’ll be talking about another movie starring Orlando Bloom.
